You May Look Like You’re Managing — But You Still Feel Overwhelmed

Many people who reach out for therapy are used to holding things together on the outside while struggling mightily on the inside. You may be dealing with anxiety, burnout, trauma, relationship stress, emotional exhaustion, grief, addiction, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself and others. Sometimes people seek therapy because of a specific crisis. Other times, it’s because of a growing sense that something isn’t working anymore.

You do not have to face that alone.

I provide psychotherapy for adults across Ontario, offering a practical, compassionate, and non-judgmental space to explore what you’re carrying, and to begin moving toward meaningful change. My approach is collaborative and tailored to the individual, recognizing that every person’s experiences, strengths, and challenges are unique.

How I Help

I support individuals experiencing:

  • Trauma and PTSD

  • Anxiety and chronic stress

  • Burnout and compassion fatigue

  • Depression and emotional numbness

  • Addiction and recovery challenges

  • Men’s mental health concerns

  • Relationship and communication difficulties

  • Grief and loss

  • ADHD-related emotional struggles

  • Workplace stress and helping-professional fatigue

  • Life transitions and identity concerns

My work integrates evidence-informed approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, and EMDR therapy where appropriate.

Therapy That Feels Human

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you’re used to being the one others rely on. Many clients worry they won’t know what to say, fear being judged, or feel uncertain about whether therapy can actually help.

Our work together is not about forcing you to “open up” before you’re ready. It’s about creating a space where you can speak honestly, explore what’s happening beneath the surface, and develop practical ways to move forward at a pace that feels manageable.

Clients often tell me they appreciate having a space that feels:

  • conversational rather than clinical,

  • supportive without judgment,

  • practical and grounded,

  • emotionally safe,

  • and focused on real-life change.

EMDR Therapy for Trauma and Emotional Healing

I also offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an evidence-based therapy approach that can help people process traumatic experiences, reduce emotional distress, and shift long-standing disordered patterns of thought and behaviour connected to anxiety, trauma, grief, and negative self-beliefs.

EMDR can be particularly helpful for people who feel “stuck” despite understanding their experiences intellectually. Rather than only talking about the past, EMDR helps the brain process difficult experiences in a way that often reduces their emotional intensity.

Why Clients Choose to Work With Me

In addition to my professional experience as a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist, I also bring lived experience and a genuine understanding of how difficult and messy life can be at times. I understand firsthand the realities of anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction recovery, ADHD, and the challenges many people face while simply trying to function in daily life.

That combination of professional training and lived experience helps me connect with clients in a way that is authentic, compassionate, and grounded in real understanding.

Therapy Across Ontario — Online and In-Person

I provide secure virtual therapy to adults throughout Ontario, making support accessible whether you live in a major city, smaller community, or remote area. In-person sessions are also available in Ottawa.

Take the First Step
